Eugene Goland
Eugene Goland is an expert in offshore outsourcing for Small and Medium Businesses (SMB). He is a founder of two technology companies with offshore operations, and has a strong hands-on knowledge of the outsourcing industry, from both supply and demand sides, and has been advising SMBs on the issues of outsourcing.
Goland is a Chairman of the Offshore Outsourcing Best Practices (www.OOBP.org) association, a vendor independent community that aims to increase the effectiveness of the outsourcing industry within the segment of small and medium enterprises (SME) by sharing best practices and facilitating knowledge exchange. OOBP.org provides thought leadership through the network of certified professionals and relevant industry organizations, publications and research initiatives. As a recognized expert in IT outsourcing, Goland recently became Chairman of the SME Global Sourcing chapter at the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals, headed by Michael Corbett.
Goland is a President of DataArt, a leading provider of high-end software outsourcing services for SMEs, specializing in enterprise application development, system integration and business automation tools, with industry-specific software expertise in financial, telecom and media sectors. He is also a co-founder of Russia’s premiere web-based portal, Mail.ru, currently the second largest portal in Eastern Europe with 20 million users.
Goland is a frequent speaker at internationally renowned global events, CEO/CTO/CIO Roundtables, Technology Conferences and Symposiums. He hosted and organized the Executive Technology Leadership Forum; the Teleconference Roundtable: Creation of Customer Value Through Globalization; the Leadership and Culture Change Enabled by Technology in Emerging Markets; a WIT off-shoring conference and CIO Community of Practice Meeting among others.
