The mission of OOBP.org is to increase the effectiveness of the outsourcing industry within the segment of small and medium enterprises (SME) by sharing best practices and facilitating knowledge exchange. The primary goal of the new chapter is to educate the SME community on best practices of outsourcing and to provide thought leadership through the network of certified professionals and relevant industry organizations. "The addition of an SME Global Sourcing Chapter will help bring the power of outsourcing to one of the most important, and until now most underserved, segments of the business community," said Michael F. Corbett, IAOP's Executive Director. "OOBP.org and Eugene Goland are great partners and I'm looking forward to them playing an active role in our work."

IAOP is the global standard-setting organization and advocate for the outsourcing profession. "This is an important development not only for members of both organizations, but for the small and mid-size enterprise segment in general," said Eugene Goland, Member of Executive Board of OOBP.org and President of DataArt, Inc. "The SME Global Sourcing chapter is a powerful resource providing advise and assistance on various issues of IT outsourcing specifically for this segment, which has drastically different needs from those of large corporations."
