The industry's elite, including the global membership of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals, gathered for an unparalleled experience in knowledge sharing, professional learning, and relationship development. Eugene Goland, President of DataArt, held the second meeting of IAOP's SME Global Sourcing Chapter, of which he is Chairman, addressing Global Sourcing Methodologies, adoption of outsourcing by SME technology companies and customer satisfaction issues.
Goland also participated in the panel discussion "On-Shore, Near-Shore or Off-Shore?" which compared and contrasted contemporary sourcing options, "a not-to-be-missed session for any organization looking to develop or fine-tune its global sourcing blueprint." Among other issues, he advised the audience to select prospective vendors based on the skills set and management expertise vs. geographical positioning, while underlining Russia's competitive advantage in R&D and complex software development projects.
